RICHARD TAWN

Richard Tawn is Art Director at Electric Square, Leamington Spa Studio which is a part of Keywords Studios PLC.

 

With over 23 years in games development, Richard possesses a broad and deep practical knowledge of developing video games across consoles, pc, and mobile devices. Richard is passionate about fostering new talent and skills in video games and has worked with Mid-Warwickshire College together with local studios to help shape their games courses.

 

Richard was creator and Game Director of Jumanji the Video Game (2019) on PC/console, which his own company Funsolve Ltd. produced in Rugby, Warwickshire. Richards core interest is in combining education with fun experiences, creative direction that empowers a team, and user experience-oriented design.

 

Boosted by a background working with global IP as Head of Art Direction with SEGA Europe Ltd (credits include SEGA RALLY, SONIC All Stars Racing series, House of The Dead, Olympics 2012 and many more). VP of Art & Communication at Exient Ltd (Rovio’s Angry Birds Go! And Angry Birds Transformers) Richard has worked with a wide range of global development teams and is familiar with many methods of running studios and what employees look for when placing young talent in their organisations.
