Angela Joyce joined Warwickshire College Group (WCG) in April 2015 as CEO. WCG is one of the largest and most successful College Groups in the country with seven Colleges based across the West Midlands. Since Angela’s appointment, the Group has grown and has had successful outcomes from both Ofsted and QAA, as well as gaining degree awarding powers and a Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Further & Higher Education. .
Angela was previously Principal and Chief Executive at Peterborough Regional College, where she led the transformation of the Cambridgeshire based College and was noted in the College’s Ofsted report as having "had a profound impact since her appointment in successfully raising the college's ambition; establishing an ethos of continuous improvement and creating strong and determined focus on improving learners' outcomes", while securing the College a consistent ‘outstanding’ rating for its financial health.
Angela was then the youngest further education college Chief Executive & Principal ​in the country and remains the youngest ever Chief Executive in further education.
Angela is a Board Director of Landex; Shakespeare’s England; and the QAA. She is also a member of the Employment and Skills Boards for both the Worcestershire LEP and Coventry and Warwickshire LEP, a CBI Regional Director, and a member of the Midland’s Engine Operating Board. She is also a Companion of the CMI and a Fellow of the Chartered Institution for Further Education.
Angela is a keen sportswoman​; she was an accomplished runner competing at international level in athletics and now competes with her horse in one day eventing.
